We had our CD release party in DC last week, and loved every minute of it. Well, almost every minute…I wanted to sing at the time I’d originally designated, and two team members had to hold me back from starting the show while people were still ordering food 🙂 I won’t make that mistake again. Next time I’ll bring my nook to keep my mind occupied.
But I digress. What the show taught me, most of all, is that atmosphere is critical to the success of a show. Having good food, good drinks, and great people made coming out on stage “cake”. I felt buoyed by the love and support of everyone in the room. There are videos of the evening (links below). Please comment and share your thoughts!
